Site Engineer – Building Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Site Engineer to join a leading building and construction firm in Singapore. The role involves overseeing building projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards, and supporting cost‑control initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical designs, provide advice and resolve construction issues while adhering to the Project Quality Plan.
• Collaborate with the QA/QC team for inspections, maintain records of work and materials, and ensure quality performance meets client requirements.
• Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, consultants and vendors to address site issues, discrepancies and construction challenges.
• Track project variations, claims and cost impacts, implementing cost‑control measures to meet budget requirements.
• Prepare site reports, monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual, safety and environmental regulations.
• Evaluate project outcomes, document lessons learned and apply best practices for future improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in building and construction projects.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, busy environment.
• Strong teamwork, meticulousness and organizational skills.
