Site Engineer – Data Centre Infrastructure

About the role

As a Site Engineer at Global Switch, you will ensure the technical integrity and reliability of our Singapore data‑centre infrastructure. You will work hands‑on with operations teams, contractors and service providers to keep mechanical, electrical and environmental systems running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Apply engineering design frameworks to delivery and maintenance activities, aligning with technical standards and operational goals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation such as specifications, risk assessments and technical evaluations for audit readiness.
• Support design assurance, compliance protocols and engineering governance across projects and maintenance programmes.
• Provide technical input on infrastructure projects, validating design outputs and technical assumptions for mechanical, electrical and environmental systems.
• Ensure the integrity and resilience of power supply systems, including medium‑voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS, PDUs and backup generators.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors and internal teams to review designs and support decision‑making.
• Work with the Principal Delivery Engineer, Engineering Manager and campus leadership to embed engineering standards into maintenance routines and infrastructure transitions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineering professional with a strong foundation in mechanical or electrical systems.
• Experience working in mission‑critical environments where reliability, safety and compliance are essential.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented approach to maintenance, fault identification and risk management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams, contractors and technical specialists.
