Site Manager – Steel Structure Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead steel structure construction on large‑scale building and industrial projects across Singapore. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and on‑time delivery of all structural steel works from mobilisation to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all site activities, including manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Direct steel erection, installation, connection, alignment and related structural works.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with structural consultants, engineers, main contractors and suppliers to resolve technical and site issues.
• Review structural and shop drawings, identify discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Monitor progress, quality and schedule to achieve timely project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, manage defect rectification and enforce WSH safety standards.
• Coordinate lifting, erection sequencing and minimise clashes.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, workmanship and productivity.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, progress records and as‑built information.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in steel structure construction, structural steel erection or similar building projects.
• Hands‑on experience with steel fabrication, erection, lifting and installation processes.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, shop drawings, method statements and construction sequencing.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety, quality requirements and Singapore regulations.
