Software Developer – APAC

About the role

InCommodities is rethinking energy trading through technology. We are looking for a Software Developer to join our APAC team and help build the core systems that power our trading business. You will work on high‑impact projects, using modern tools and a fast‑learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable software in Rust and Python for ETL pipelines, trade reconciliation and position management.
• Own the full product lifecycle: translate business needs into design, write clean code, and ship to production on Kubernetes via secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools where they add value while retaining architectural ownership.
• Collaborate directly with traders, quants and analysts to deliver tools that support decision‑making.
• Continuously improve existing systems for performance, robustness and maintainability.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience writing clean, maintainable code, preferably in a functional style.
• Proven ability to own end‑to‑end implementations from requirements to production.
• Strong mental model of complex systems and a drive toward simple, elegant designs.
• Comfortable using modern AI coding assistants and exercising judgment on their use.
• Self‑driven, proactive, and able to deliver with urgency.
