Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

Apple is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who embraces an automation‑first and AI‑forward mindset. You will own end‑to‑end testing across the product lifecycle, collaborating closely with product, business, and infrastructure teams to ensure high‑quality customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or RestAssured.
• Drive end‑to‑end testing activities including test planning, execution, defect management, and release sign‑off.
• Partner with product owners, project managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into testable acceptance criteria.
• Integrate generative AI/LLM capabilities for test data creation, exploratory testing, and defect triage.
• Contribute to performance and security testing efforts as needed.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Proficiency with at least one automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured, or equivalent) and a relevant programming language.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
