Software Engineer, AI Engineering Productivity

About the role

Google’s GPay team is looking for a Software Engineer to drive AI‑powered productivity tools. You will apply state‑of‑the‑art DevAI techniques to build automations that enhance client development, code context, and architecture across the full‑stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agents and prompts that automate QA, bug fixing and code generation for GPay developers.
• Develop and maintain full‑stack features using back‑end languages (Java, Python, Go, C++) and front‑end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to deliver end‑to‑end client‑facing functionalities.
• Experiment with end‑to‑end automatic testing, A/B experiments and data pipelines to measure impact.
• Contribute to scaling systems that serve global users and integrate with mobile platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Experience in full‑stack development and AI/agentic development.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
