Software Engineer – Cross‑Platform Desktop

About the role

Autodesk Platform Services is seeking a Desktop Software Engineer to build and evolve the core platform that enables secure, scalable access to Autodesk products across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will work on modern technologies and AI‑assisted tools to improve both the product and the engineering workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, reliable software for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Investigate technical challenges and deliver practical solutions with a focus on quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Build automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for frequent high‑quality releases.
• Reduce technical debt by simplifying existing systems and enhancing overall software quality.
• Collaborate with teammates through design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.

Required profile

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
• Clear communication of technical concepts and effective collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
