Software Engineer – Google Pay (Singapore)

About the role

Google Pay serves over 250 million users in India, and the Singapore team drives core features for the consumer app. As a Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end user flows, focusing on performance, latency and reliability across the mobile stack.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key surfaces within the Flutter‑based GPay app, emphasizing performance optimisation and UI quality.
• Own complete user flows, ensuring low latency and high reliability.
• Integrate RPC services and collaborate with backend teams.
• Work with Java, Dart, Flutter, Android/iOS platforms and AI‑agent prompting technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience (or 1+ year with an advanced degree).
• 2+ years of full‑stack development, including back‑end languages such as Java, Python, Go or C++.
• Experience building systems that scale to millions of users globally.
• Proven ability to work with product and UX teams to deliver features end‑to‑end.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field; strong data‑structures and algorithms knowledge.
