Software Engineer – Google Wallet 1P Integrations

About the role

Google’s Wallet 1P Integrations team is looking for a Software Engineer to build and enhance the integration of Gmail, Photos and Android data into Google Wallet. The role focuses on creating intelligent passes for receipts, flights, loyalty cards and more, impacting millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain features that import pass data from Gmail, Photos and Android into Google Wallet.
• Design and implement new functionalities and UI components for the Android Wallet app and Google Play Services modules, emphasizing maintainability and reusability.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback and incorporate suggestions to ensure high code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to expand parsing capabilities for attachments such as PDFs and images.
• Contribute to scaling efforts for new user experiences on Android.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred experience in machine‑learning or AI quality evaluation.
• Experience with backend systems and large‑scale data processing.
