Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript) – Fixed‑Term 1 yr

About the role

Activate Interactive is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Co‑Development Business Unit on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will work on citizen‑facing government systems for Singapore agencies, building secure, compliant, and scalable web and mobile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement audit logging, data‑compliance (PDPA) and Singpass/MyInfo/Corppass integrations.
• Develop email/SMS notification services using AWS SES, SNS, Twilio.
• Build scheduling, calendar, and QR‑code attendance tracking features.
• Create dashboards and exportable reports (PDF, Excel).
• Design search, filtering, recommendation and personalization engines, including AI/ML API integration (e.g., OpenAI).
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS) with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and IaC tools (Terraform, CDK).
• Monitor performance and observability of citizen‑facing applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Recent hands‑on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Track record of delivering production‑grade applications.
• Familiarity with modern web development, component‑based architecture, and responsive/PWA design.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, RBAC implementation, and relational/NoSQL databases.
