Software Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of AvePoint’s software solutions. Working closely with product owners, business analysts and development teams, you will design test strategies, automate testing, and help drive continuous improvement in our agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owner and Business Analyst to define user‑story acceptance criteria.
• Analyze complex applications and design comprehensive test strategies.
• Research emerging technologies and build test‑automation frameworks.
• Create and maintain test suites, scenarios and cases, including smoke and regression tests in CI pipelines.
• Execute time‑boxed exploratory testing and manage nightly regression builds.
• Lead system integration testing and coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Manage defect lifecycle, test artifacts and repositories.
• Promote continuous improvement of agile testing tools and practices.
• Provide secondary support as an Application Performance Engineer or Application Security Engineer.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in exploratory testing and regression test automation.
• Hands‑on experience with modern web development stacks such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Kotlin/Java.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications on cloud platforms like AWS.
• Familiarity with database migration processes is a plus.
• Worked in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
