Strategic Communications Consultant - Corporate Reputation

About the role

FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications team in Singapore advises clients on financial communications, corporate reputation and public affairs. As a Consultant you will advise international and domestic clients across industries, support ongoing communications programmes and contribute to new business proposals. The role sits at the heart of client service and account management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with client deliverables and counsel on communications programmes, with a focus on financial services corporate communications and media relations.
• Draft communications materials such as strategies, press releases, client memos, articles and briefing documents under senior guidance.
• Build relationships with key financial and business media and relevant stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality work and manage assigned client engagement tasks.
• Help senior team members develop new business initiatives, such as prospect research, strategic approaches and proposal reviews.
• Share strategic and creative insights in client and internal discussions.
• Stay current on client and industry trends, identify opportunities and take part in industry events.
• Follow FTI's values, Code of Ethics and Strategic Communications Rules of Practice and help embed them with junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Business or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in strategic communications and media relations; strong graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in financial markets and financial services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, comfort with senior stakeholders in a fast pace, and willingness to accommodate regional or global meeting hours.
