SVP, Full Stack Engineering Lead - Wealth Management Technology

About the role

DBS is looking for a Strategic Vice President, Full Stack Engineering Lead for Products and Execution within its Wealth Management Technology group. You will set the technical vision, architectural strategy and delivery approach for a next-generation cross-product engineering ecosystem that connects employee and client journeys through shared platform services and high-performance execution across Funds, FX, Rates, Bonds and Structured Products. The role suits a strategic, hands-on leader combining deep multi-asset financial domain knowledge with expertise in scalable, cloud-native, high-throughput full-stack platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the multi-year technical vision and migration to a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture on container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Identify commonalities across Funds, FX, Rates, Bonds and Structured Products and design reusable services for shared product, execution and platform needs.
• Lead, mentor and inspire distributed engineering squads across regional and global hubs, setting common engineering standards, reusable code patterns and unified design reviews.
• Design and optimise low-latency transaction flows, real-time streaming and event-driven architectures using WebSockets and messaging platforms such as AMQ or Kafka.
• Champion resilient server-side architectures in Java, Spring Boot and Python, with ReactJS frontends supporting real-time operational workflows, risk views and trade flows.
• Orchestrate real-time market data ingestion from Bloomberg, Reuters and Markit, and integrate quantitative models, curve builders and analytics engines into the transaction lifecycle.
• Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies such as AI coding assistants, NLP applications and LLM integrations.
• Act as technical advisor to product owners, business heads and senior leadership, turning product needs into technical roadmaps.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise financial environments such as Tier 1 investment banks or institutional FinTechs, leading global and regional Agile engineering squads.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Agile or cloud certifications such as PMI-ACP or CKAD are preferred.
• Location: DBS Asia Central.

Required skills

• Expert hands-on engineering in Java (Spring Boot), ReactJS and Python.
• Experience architecting and migrating platforms to Kubernetes or OpenShift, with strong CI/CD automation.
• Ability to design high-performance, low-latency platforms such as transaction hubs, real-time pricing engines, curve builders or risk platforms.
• Strong multi-asset domain knowledge across Funds, FX, Rates, Bonds and Credit and Structured Products.
• Commitment to software craftsmanship: TDD, automation, memory profiling, performance stress testing and clean code.
• Interest in AI coding tools and LLMs.
