SVP/VP, Tech Lead - Corporate Internet Banking Platform

About the role

DBS is looking for an SVP/VP, Tech Lead for its Corporate Internet Banking Platform (CIBP) within the Institutional Banking Group Technology and Group Technology. The role drives the technology vision, architecture, engineering standards and delivery strategy for the CIBP, providing technical leadership across Payments, Accounts, Entitlements, Notifications, Approvals, Dashboard and Shared Services. It is based at the DBS Asia Hub and is a regular, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Define the technology vision, architecture, engineering standards and delivery strategy for the CIBP, aligned with business goals and enterprise architecture.
• Lead architecture reviews, design reviews and code quality governance to deliver secure, scalable, resilient and maintainable solutions.
• Work with business stakeholders, product owners, architects and delivery teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions and implementation roadmaps.
• Mentor domain leads, architects, engineering managers and development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Promote Microservices, Event-Driven, API-First, Micro Frontends, DevSecOps, CI/CD and cloud-native practices, and lead the adoption of AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot and Agentic AI platforms, with governance on AI-generated code.
• Establish engineering governance covering architecture reviews, coding standards, release management, resiliency, security, observability and production readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering productivity, software quality and delivery speed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 8 years in senior technology leadership roles in banking or financial services.
• Proven experience leading large engineering organizations and enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience leading architecture governance, code quality reviews, engineering transformation and technology modernization.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior business and technology leaders; Agile (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) experience.
• Relevant certifications in Cloud, Architecture, Security, Agile or AI Engineering are an added advantage.
