Systems Administrator II

About the role

The Systems Administrator II will provide operational support for a global team that manages building management and physical security systems. The role is ticket‑driven, requiring systematic resolution of issues while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server and network hardware, including fiber/optic cables and related components.
• Manage circuit move, add, change, and disconnection (MACD) lifecycle orders.
• Coordinate local vendor technicians for server, circuit, and maintenance tasks.
• Install and verify physical layer server and network cabling according to cabling matrices.
• Provide ongoing production environment support and liaise with vendors, system owners, and operations teams.
• Track requests, generate weekly reports, and maintain documentation for each implementation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for ad‑hoc troubleshooting and regional maintenance activities.
• Maintain and improve inventory databases for servers, circuits, and spares, and trigger replenishment when thresholds are reached.
• Handle ticketing via JIRA, manage vendor remote‑hands requests, and conduct regular audits of assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in datacenter or enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and equipment lifecycle processes.
• Ability to follow detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and technical instructions.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking orders, reporting, and documentation.
