Systems Engineer III – Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a hands‑on Systems Engineer III to own and evolve complex infrastructure across Linux, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage and container platforms. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to drive automation, reliability and continuous improvement for enterprise services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering, administration and operational support for enterprise infrastructure and product environments.
• Design, implement, maintain and troubleshoot Linux, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage and container platforms.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and support incident, change and problem management processes.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade and maintain operating systems, enterprise infrastructure and applications.
• Administer VMware environments, support OpenStack migrations and manage virtual machines for sandboxes, training and issue reproduction.
• Build, administer and maintain OpenShift clusters and perform vulnerability remediation for Linux and Windows servers.
• Support enterprise services such as storage, virtualization, SQL Server and shared platforms; experience with Oracle, IBM MQ and IBM AIX is advantageous.
• Develop automation scripts, perform system administration tasks and manage configurations across multiple environments.
• Analyze system performance, enhance monitoring and alerting, and recommend improvements for reliability, security, scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, maintain technical documentation, participate in on‑call rotations and perform scheduled maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
