Tech Innovation Lead, APAC

About the role

Zurich is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to drive innovation at the intersection of digital distribution, insurance and emerging technologies. The role focuses on identifying, shaping and executing business-led use cases with a strong emphasis on AI and emerging tech, and on building new digital capabilities that improve customer offerings across the value chain under the Zurich Edge strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the discovery, development and implementation of AI and digital solutions across the digital insurance journey.
• Identify, evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, tools and vendors to strengthen the digital stack (e.g. microservices, AI APIs, customer engagement tools).
• Work with product, engineering and operations teams to prototype and scale new ideas across geographies.
• Own the innovation pipeline, from idea generation to proof-of-concept and scaling.
• Turn digital strategy into executable tech-enabled solutions and act as a bridge between business and IT.
• Monitor insurtech, fintech and e-commerce trends and define a product vision and roadmap with the tech team.
• Run user research and usability studies, turn consumer needs into product features, and work with designers and developers.
• Manage the roadmap and backlog for digital products with IT, monitor product performance and iterate based on data and insights.
• Build processes for designing new products from customer research and data, and ensure stakeholders understand the operational and technical changes needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience leading tech innovation initiatives in insurance, fintech or e-commerce.
• Ability to translate business strategy into actionable tech solutions and to manage innovation pipelines and product roadmaps.
• Experience in user research and usability studies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Required skills

• Degree or certification in AI or advanced programming highly regarded.
