Technical Guarantee Lead – VAR Services

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Guarantee Lead to oversee the delivery of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) services for the Singapore Premier League. The role is based in Singapore and reports to the Operations Manager (VAR Services), ensuring the Hawk‑Eye guarantee is met for every match.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical planning, architecture and deployment of the VAR service across SPL competitions, adhering to Hawk‑Eye best practice.
• Understand and enforce contractual agreements and SLAs with the Football Association of Singapore, guaranteeing robust hardware, software and infrastructure.
• Prepare, set up and oversee VAR technical configuration in the Replay Centre ahead of each match week.
• Commit software releases after regression testing and coordinate with the Global VAR Tech Lead.
• Rapidly resolve live operational technical issues on match days and conduct post‑match technical analysis.
• Review feedback and portal tickets, implementing timely changes.
• Monitor hardware components (VORs, RRAs, VARdict, Vokkero) to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical expertise during contract renewals and new service sales in Singapore.
• Support infrastructure and operations, including remote support checklists, escalation protocols and issue tracking.

Required profile

• Professional level experience in technical delivery of sports‑technology services.
• Strong understanding of VAR systems and replay centre operations.
• Ability to act as the first point of technical contact and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience working with contractual SLAs and hardware/software integration.
