Technical Lead

About the role

The Technical Lead will drive the evolution of Singapore’s Maritime Digital Twin platform, turning massive maritime data into real‑time operational intelligence. You will lead a high‑performing technical squad to build a next‑generation geospatial reasoning platform with predictive AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap to scale the platform from data aggregation to intelligent geospatial reasoning.
• Design robust data‑fusion and low‑latency streaming architectures for multi‑sensor maritime data.
• Provide technical governance, ensuring code quality, scalable design patterns and thorough documentation.
• Oversee AI module deployment for environmental and hydrodynamic simulations and integrate multi‑modal LLM workflows for decision‑support tools.
• Develop a secure, plug‑and‑play data infrastructure and AI sandbox with standardized protocols (MQTT, AMQP, RESTful APIs).
• Manage containerised deployments across hybrid cloud environments using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead security hardening efforts in partnership with government cybersecurity teams, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver prioritized use cases.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience designing large‑scale data platforms and leading technical teams.
• Strong understanding of maritime or geospatial data domains is a plus.
