Technical Officer (Electrical Network Planning & Design)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Officer to support the planning and design of low‑tension (LT) electrical distribution networks for residential, commercial and industrial estates. The role combines office‑based design work with regular site visits to conduct surveys and verify network loading.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare service costing for customer connections.
• Travel to sites daily to perform surveys and assess LT network loading.
• Plan and design LT distribution networks for various estate types.
• Liaise with local electricity wholesalers (LEWs) or customers to finalise connection requirements.
• Conduct load measurements and assist senior engineers in load‑survey activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised Singapore polytechnic.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to work primarily in an office setting with occasional site surveys.
• Preferably experience working with agencies and knowledge of cable route planning and installation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM software.
• AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office suite.
