Technical Training Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Training Executive to design, deliver and evaluate technical training programmes for our shipbuilding and offshore fabrication workforce. The role supports skill development, safety compliance and operational excellence across our Tuas yard.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update training curricula covering production skills, safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct classroom, workshop and on‑site sessions using demonstrations, hands‑on practice and visual aids.
• Create lesson plans, training materials, practical assignments and assessment tools aligned with training objectives.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to identify skills gaps and tailor training to project requirements.
• Assess trainee progress through practical tests, quizzes and skills assessments, maintaining accurate records.
• Participate in training effectiveness reviews and recommend improvements to curriculum, delivery methods or equipment.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher Nitec in Marine & Offshore engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years experience in production work within shipbuilding, ship repair or offshore fabrication.
• Certified Workplace Trainer & Assessor (e.g., ACTA/ACLP) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, classification rules and quality procedures.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills for adult learners.
