Technology Sourcing Manager (AVP) - Group Technology

About the role

DBS is seeking a Technology Sourcing Manager (AVP) to support sourcing and vendor management across technology categories such as software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT professional services. The role works closely with Technology, Procurement, Risk, Legal and business stakeholders on sourcing initiatives, vendor evaluations, market assessments and commercial engagements. It suits someone with technology sourcing or procurement experience who wants broader exposure across technology domains.

Key responsibilities

• Support sourcing and vendor management across software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT services, and help develop sourcing strategies and category initiatives.
• Conduct supplier research and market assessments, and support vendor rationalisation through data analysis and benchmarking.
• Work with Technology and business stakeholders to define sourcing requirements, evaluation criteria and vendor assessment frameworks, and coordinate supplier engagement and evaluation.
• Assist in assessing vendor solutions on business, technical, commercial and risk grounds.
• Support sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ, due diligence), prepare documentation, business cases and recommendation papers, and take part in contract reviews with suppliers.
• Track sourcing milestones and follow up on action items across stakeholders.
• Build relationships with Technology, Procurement, Finance, Risk and business teams, and provide guidance on sourcing processes and market insights.
• Ensure compliance with procurement, governance and third-party risk requirements, support vendor onboarding and due diligence, and maintain documentation for audit and compliance.
• Monitor technology market trends, conduct benchmarking and spend analysis, and support planning for contract renewals and vendor engagements.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in technology sourcing, procurement, vendor management, consulting or related fields.
• Experience supporting sourcing initiatives for technology products and services, and exposure to software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity or IT professional services.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline.
• At least three years of sourcing in a financial institution environment in a tech category.
• Familiarity with vendor selection, contract management and supplier engagement; knowledge of FI/banking governance, compliance and third-party risk is an advantage.

• Commercial awareness and good stakeholder management.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, complex environments, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, ITIL or cloud certifications are advantageous.
