About the role
Okta is seeking a Vice President to lead Channel and Strategic Alliances across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). The leader will shape and execute the indirect sales strategy, partnering with resellers, system integrators, ISVs, and distributors to expand Okta’s market presence.
Key responsibilities
- Define and drive a go‑to‑market plan for indirect sales across APJ, targeting ISVs, GSIs, MSPs, boutique partners and large resellers.
- Collaborate with Okta’s executive, business development, marketing and sales teams to identify high‑value partners and build mutually beneficial relationships.
- Lead a team of twelve professionals, providing coaching, talent development and performance management.
- Develop tailored value propositions and joint‑selling strategies that generate new revenue streams.
- Integrate partner activities into Okta’s strategic account processes and ensure alignment with overall sales objectives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in high‑tech SaaS scale‑up environments, with a track record of driving channel and field‑alliance transformations.
- Strong business leadership skills, capable of influencing senior decision‑makers across partner organizations.
- Deep knowledge of the cloud computing and identity‑management ecosystem in APJ.
- Fluent in English; additional APJ language skills are a plus.

- Experience managing hybrid indirect/direct sales models.
- Strategic partnership development and alliance management.
- Understanding of SaaS, cloud services and identity management solutions.
