Vice President Product Controller – Fixed Income

About the role

The Vice President Product Controller will join Nomura’s Rates and Treasury Global Middle Office in Singapore. The role focuses on controlling and governing Fixed Income P&L, covering Rates, Treasury and Corporate products across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Control and governance of Fixed Income related P&L, with primary focus on Rates, Treasury and Corporate P&Ls across 20 legal entities.
• Identify control gaps, propose strategic solutions and ensure timely, accurate daily revenue calculation and reporting.
• Execute month‑end procedures, including balance‑sheet substantiation and P&L validation.
• Collaborate with Treasury Funding desk, Operations, Quant teams and other functions to resolve booking, valuation and financial resource queries.
• Support structured issuance, treasury charges, bespoke transactions and cross‑regional booking initiatives.
• Participate in process re‑engineering, automation and digital tool optimisation.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of product control or market risk experience within investment banking or a large financial services firm.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income products, P&L attribution and balance‑sheet concepts.

Required skills

• Experience with product control and P&L validation processes.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income, Rates, Treasury and Structured Products.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage complex financial queries.
