Visual Design Apprentice

About the role

Join Liminal, a founders' studio that partners with repeat founders to build ventures from concept to Series B. As a Visual Design Apprentice you will craft the visual identity, product interfaces, and brand assets for early‑stage companies that don’t exist yet.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complete visual identity systems, including typography, color palettes, layout grids, and iconography.
• Design high‑fidelity UI for landing pages, dashboards, onboarding flows, and marketing sites.
• Create brand assets at scale such as pitch decks, social content, one‑pagers, and event collateral.
• Build and maintain design systems that stay coherent as the venture grows.
• Collaborate directly with engineering to ensure the final product matches the design vision.

Required profile

• Exceptional visual craft demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
• Deep understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and layout.
• Omnivorous design taste informed by a broad range of visual culture.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments without existing brand guides.
• Independent, contrarian thinker who can argue from first principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
