VMware Consultant – Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced VMware Consultant to design, build, and maintain our virtualised infrastructure in Singapore. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise with VMware vSphere/ESXi and a solid background in physical server management.

Key responsibilities

• Build, install, configure and maintain physical server infrastructure.
• Deploy, administer and support VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Server environments.
• Create, manage and optimise virtual machines, including provisioning, cloning, templating and vMotion migrations.
• Perform upgrades, patching and lifecycle management of the VMware stack.
• Monitor performance, storage utilisation and resource allocation to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking, storage and virtualization issues.
• Manage backups, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security and application teams.
• Conduct capacity planning and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and configuration standards.

Required profile

• 7‑12 years of experience in enterprise‑level server and virtualization environments.
• Proven hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter Server.
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, storage and networking technologies.
• Experience in performance monitoring, capacity planning and system health checks.
• Ability to provide L2/L3 support for server and virtualization incidents.
