VP / AVP, Portfolio Advisory - DBS Treasures

About the role

DBS Consumer Banking Group is hiring a VP / AVP for Portfolio Advisory within its DBS Treasures unit. The role advises clients on Unit Trusts as building blocks of their investment portfolio, with a focus on engaging and upskilling Relationship Managers (RMs). The candidate attends client meetings with the Treasures Relationship Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively engage RMs to drive the model fund portfolio approach.
• Conduct regular coaching, training and product briefings for TRMs to raise their proficiency and technical expertise in Unit Trust positioning.
• Use existing bank portfolio tools in RM engagement.
• Deepen the systematic conversion of in-franchise cash AUM into portfolio investment AUM.
• Contribute to building and maintaining in-house proprietary model portfolios of Unit Trusts.
• Selectively attend client meetings with TRMs to build customised multi-asset portfolio proposals based on client risk profile and preferences, and monitor, review and rebalance client portfolios proactively.
• Perform regulated activities in full compliance with country policies, standards and guidelines set by the Bank and regulators.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Portfolio Advisory, Fund Management, Investment Advisory or a related capacity.
• Great client relationship management, excellent presentation and training skills.
• Self-starter, highly motivated and a team player.
• Analytical mind and sensitivity to financial market trends.

The position is based in DBS Asia Central, is full-time and falls under the Product Sales schedule.
