VP, Full Stack Engineering Lead - Institutional Banking Technology

About the role

Group Technology at DBS builds an efficient, nimble and resilient technology infrastructure by partnering with business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable digital solutions. This role leads full stack application development for Institutional Banking, designing and delivering enterprise-grade digital solutions while working with business, product, architecture and engineering teams. The position is based at the DBS Asia Hub.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable full stack applications, backend services, APIs and user-facing solutions for Institutional Banking.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Build distributed applications, middleware, APIs and integration services connecting enterprise platforms, payment systems, transaction banking apps and partner ecosystems.
• Apply secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, observability and resiliency controls.
• Conduct code and technical design reviews, mentor junior engineers and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Support proof-of-concept initiatives such as digital assets, tokenization and blockchain-enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on full stack and enterprise integration work.
• Preferred: banking, financial services, transaction banking, payments, securities or capital markets experience, and exposure to blockchain, tokenization or digital assets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java, Rust, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or similar enterprise languages.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven systems and application integration.
• Relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms and distributed systems.
• Cloud-native architectures, containerization, DevSecOps and SDLC.
• Preferred: AWS or GCP, Kubernetes and Docker, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms and SRE practices.
