Accounts Assistant – Finance Operations

About the role

The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team in day‑to‑day financial operations, handling both accounts receivable and payable, cash management and reporting. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Issue invoices, credit notes and ensure timely billing.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments and manage overdue accounts.
• Verify and process supplier invoices and petty‑cash claims.
• Prepare payments via bank transfers, cheques or online platforms and update monthly payment schedules.
• Maintain accurate daily cash book and bank book records.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Handle incoming calls and inquiries from customers and suppliers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Available to start immediately or on short notice.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Positive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn.
