Construction Director (SEA/NR) – Singapore

About the role

The Construction Director will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Digital Realty’s data centre facilities across Singapore, ranging from new builds to fit‑outs, upgrades and infrastructure projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule and within budget while meeting the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a robust safety culture and work closely with the Health and Safety Manager.
• Plan, schedule and manage construction projects from inception through hand‑over to operations.
• Develop and monitor budgets, track expenditures and report financial performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, general contractors and vendors to define project goals, scopes and timelines.
• Oversee all construction phases – design development, procurement, construction and close‑out.
• Select, negotiate and manage contractors, subcontractors and suppliers ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Review and approve construction documents, change orders and contractor payment applications.
• Utilise the Risk Management system to identify, mitigate and report project risks.
• Serve as the primary liaison for operations teams and customers, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Establish governance, communication and reporting structures for senior and country‑level stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale construction projects in the data‑centre or related infrastructure sector.
• Strong safety leadership and ability to enforce safety standards on site.
• Demonstrated capability in budget and schedule management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with risk management and project governance.
• Willingness to work full‑time on site in Singapore.
