Cybersecurity Engineer – IT Security Operations

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS) is seeking experienced Cybersecurity Engineers to join its IT Security Operations team. You will help design, implement and maintain security standards, respond to incidents and drive continuous improvement of the organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cybersecurity standards, procedures, configurations and rulesets for systems and services.
• Conduct security exercises such as tabletop simulations and validate security procedures.
• Participate in security incident response, triage alerts, coordinate with system operators and escalate when necessary.
• Perform IOC scanning, collate reports and provide consolidated updates to stakeholders.
• Execute vulnerability assessments using automated and manual tools and recommend remediation actions.
• Monitor security patches, assess their impact using CVSS and advise on risk‑based remediation.
• Present vulnerability and security posture findings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity across domains such as network security design, secure application development, cryptography, mobile management, cloud hosting design, or DevSecOps.
• Strong knowledge of cyber‑security principles, operational security management, and security attributes (confidentiality, integrity, availability, etc.).
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., SANS GCIH, CISSP, CISM, AWS security specialty) are an advantage.
