Director, AI & Data Strategy – Manager & Solution Architect (Privacy Tech)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a senior leader to drive AI and data strategy while shaping privacy‑enhancing technology solutions. The role sits in the AI and Data Office and works at the intersection of AI engineering, responsible AI, privacy, and public‑sector enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with government agencies, regulators and third‑party vendors to capture infrastructure, data architecture and regulatory requirements.
• Translate sovereign‑cloud, on‑prem, hybrid and restricted‑data environments into end‑to‑end AI solution architectures.
• Design and own Responsible AI and PET‑enabled solutions such as data clean rooms and synthetic data pipelines.
• Act as a solution‑shaping architect, originating initiatives that move partners from policy intent to production‑ready implementations.
• Collaborate with internal product, data‑science, privacy, security and risk teams to embed accountability and operational readiness by design.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI strategy and solution architecture at an enterprise or public‑sector level.
• Deep understanding of privacy‑enhancing technologies, responsible AI principles and regulatory landscapes.
• Track record of partnering with government bodies, regulators and external vendors.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive adoption of AI Centre of Excellence initiatives.
