Executive – Programme Administration & Management (Teacher Education)

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is seeking an Executive to support the Manager of Programme Administration & Management in the Office of Teacher Education and Undergraduate Programmes. This 2‑year fixed‑term role ensures the smooth operation of initial teacher preparation and undergraduate programmes, providing essential administrative support to faculty and students.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to email enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Plan and manage timetabling activities, liaising with internal stakeholders and allocating courses.
• Configure and update programme structures across multiple systems.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Assistant/Associate Dean on programme matters.
• Update and revise programme handbooks as needed.
• Prepare academic plans for students and support undergraduate course management.
• Offer secretarial support for student consultative meetings, including scheduling and minute‑taking.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager, Programme Administration & Management.

Required profile

• A Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent qualification; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Relevant experience in student support or programme administration, preferably in a tertiary education setting.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, resource‑ful and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Familiarity with database management systems (advantageous).
