Faculty Position in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI)

About the role

The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) seeks senior faculty members—Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor—to lead and expand its applied AI research and teaching portfolio. The role combines industry‑focused research, curriculum development, and mentorship within SIT’s integrated learning ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead applied AI research projects with industry partners and government agencies across domains such as advanced manufacturing, urban systems, healthcare, and hospitality.
• Design and deliver AI‑focused courses and interdisciplinary modules for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Supervise Industry Doctorate, Masters, and capstone projects in collaboration with domain faculty and external partners.
• Contribute to continuing‑education programmes and act as an AI mentor for existing faculty.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a strong AI/ML research record (or equivalent industry experience).
• Demonstrated leadership on industry‑defined problems and experience securing applied research grants.
• Evidence of cross‑disciplinary collaboration and impact through publications, patents, open‑source tools, or deployed systems.
