Financial Controller – APAC

About the role

BTIG is looking for a proactive Financial Controller to lead finance operations across the APAC region, with a focus on Hong Kong and Singapore. You will oversee end‑to‑end finance processes, drive best‑practice implementation, and act as the primary escalation point for the local finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and guidance to junior finance team members in Hong Kong and Singapore.
• Manage revenue processes, including clearing broker revenue booking and broker rebate reconciliation.
• Oversee invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable reporting, engaging with clients and brokers.
• Handle cash booking and reconciliation in clearing accounts.
• Execute month‑end consolidation entries, equity pick‑up, and eliminations.
• Support transfer‑pricing calculations and management‑fee assessments.
• Prepare and review regulatory reporting for Hong Kong and Singapore.
• Coordinate APAC audits and financial statement preparation.
• Review AP payments and wires, and support cross‑functional business activities.
• Identify process improvements, enforce controls, and participate in projects and change initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accountancy, tax, or a related professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• Proven experience in broker‑dealer finance, especially equities trading.
• Hands‑on attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
