Financial Controller

About the role

As a Financial Controller at HL Assurance, you will lead the finance and accounting function, reporting directly to the CEO. Based in the Downtown Tanjong Pagar area, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, provide strategic insight and support the company’s growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage the finance and accounting team.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive management.
• Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting processes and the preparation of all financial reports.
• Advise on long‑term business and financial planning.
• Deliver commercial insight and leadership to exceed business plan targets.
• Embed and operate the risk and compliance management framework for the company.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Finance, Accountancy or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably within the general insurance industry.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, high integrity and able to work independently.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
