Food & Beverage Host – Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Food & Beverage Host to welcome guests at the restaurant of Holiday Inn Singapore Little India. The host will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience from reservation to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests and potential guests at the restaurant entrance.
• Manage reservations, record dining preferences and update the reservation book.
• Prepare the restaurant for service, ensuring equipment is clean, tables are set and uniforms meet hotel standards.
• Assist with food and beverage service, escort guests to their tables and maintain a courteous presence throughout their visit.
• Handle cash, banking procedures and irregular payments while supporting budget and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess stations, menus and dining areas, and ensure safe handling of trays and dishes.
• Take telephone bookings, complete dockets accurately and keep records of general hotel activities.
• Observe health, safety and OH&S policies, report incidents and assist with emergency procedures.
