Information Security Engineer – Early Career (Product Security)

About the role

Google’s Security team is building a new Singapore‑based group focused on scaling operations and reducing risk through advanced automation. As an early‑career Information Security Engineer you will help protect Google’s products and users by developing automated security tools and working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agents and infrastructure to automate vulnerability handling, triage, and variant analysis.
• Contribute to a unified vulnerability analysis pipeline and dashboarding system.
• Monitor network boundaries and harden computer and network devices against attacks.
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify and remediate security flaws.
• Own resolution of complex security incidents, policy questions, and technical security issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in security assessments, design reviews, or threat modeling.
• At least 1 year of experience in security engineering, computer/network security, and security protocols.
• At least 1 year of coding experience in a general‑purpose programming language.
• Preferred: experience building automated tools (including LLM‑based agents) for security workflows, cross‑functional collaboration, and security consulting.
