Instructor Assistant – Vocational Training Support

About the role

The Instructor Assistant supports vocational trainers in delivering structured learning experiences for trainees with special needs. Working on‑site in Eunos, you will help create a safe, organized environment while providing hands‑on guidance and supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the instructor with daily activities such as sorting, cleaning, packing, and assembling.
• Provide step‑by‑step guidance and hands‑on supervision to trainees, reinforcing social and work‑discipline skills.
• Adapt work tasks and create instructional materials so all trainees can participate effectively.
• Ensure trainees meet work expectations, maintain a safe learning environment, and cover for instructors when needed.
• Support special events, pop‑up booths, awareness campaigns, and vocational training initiatives.
• Collaborate with instructors, vocational trainers, and APSN’s Allied Professionals team to coordinate work orders and deliverables.
• Maintain attendance, allowance, and progress tracking records; submit performance and quality reports.
• Document daily activities and work completion status accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum G.C.E. N Level qualification.
• Passion for improving the lives of individuals with special needs.
• Ability to assist instructors in delivering lesson and intervention plans.
• Experience with chronic conditions or special‑needs populations is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to identify needs and create action plans.
• Effective communication with diverse groups while maintaining confidentiality.
• Willingness to cover other classes, handle ad‑hoc tasks, and support events.
• Open to learning and applying best practices in special‑needs vocational training.
