Internal Auditor (Analyst)

About the role

The Internal Auditor (Analyst) will support audit engagements across a variety of client organisations, helping to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations. This entry‑to‑mid‑level position offers exposure to risk assessment, documentation testing and report drafting in a professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in internal audit engagements to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls through process walkthroughs and documentation testing.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify key risk areas for clients.
• Perform compliance reviews against applicable legislation, guidelines and internal policies.
• Document workpapers accurately based on reviewed documents.
• Assist in audit planning, execute fieldwork and draft internal audit reports.
• Work independently to prepare deliverables such as working papers and reports within established timelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance related discipline.
• Good understanding of risks and internal controls.
• Experience in internal audit and SOX engagements (or willingness to learn).
• Logical thinking, initiative and strong analytical abilities.
• Experience in sectors such as shipping, manufacturing, life sciences or healthcare is a plus.
• Fresh graduates with a relevant degree are also encouraged to apply.
