Junior Data Analyst – Finance Shared Services

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support the Finance Shared Services Centre at Shangri‑La Singapore. The role focuses on data analysis, reporting and process automation to improve efficiency and accuracy across finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Create and optimise Excel models, including advanced formulas and VBA macros.
• Automate workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• Analyse trends, patterns and anomalies in financial datasets.
• Provide ad‑hoc data requests and reporting support to business teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, IT or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience, including internships or project work.
• Experience with financial data and GL/AP/AR/IA processes.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Good communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new tools and take ownership of tasks.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning, reconciliation).
• VBA for macro development.
• Power Automate for workflow automation.
• Power BI for dashboard creation.
