Lecturer – Aerospace Electronics (School of Engineering)

About the role

The School of Engineering is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Aerospace Electronics to deliver high‑quality teaching and supervise student projects across core aerospace engineering subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions covering engineering fundamentals, avionics and aircraft‑related systems.
• Design and develop curricula, assessment components and instructional strategies.
• Supervise internships, final‑year projects and other major academic projects.
• Collaborate with local and overseas industry partners to lead staff and student projects, learning journeys and overseas programmes.
• Organise and contribute to polytechnic‑wide events, outreach activities and student development initiatives.
• Provide teaching support outside normal office hours when operationally required.

Required profile

• Qualifications in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant industry experience in aerospace R&D, MRO or related sectors.
• Willingness to obtain CAAS SAR‑66 Modules M3 to M5 certification for SAR‑related curriculum subjects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to work across disciplines in diverse teams.
