Manufacturing Engineer – Thin Film

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer (Thin Film) will lead a team of CVD, PVD and CMP associate engineers to ensure safe, high‑quality, and productive semiconductor manufacturing. You will be responsible for optimizing daily production, driving continuous improvement, and supporting cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a manufacturing team of CVD, PVD and CMP associate engineers to meet fab delivery requirements.
• Plan and execute cross‑training to increase shift flexibility.
• Provide regular performance feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate daily with engineering, equipment, production control and capacity teams to maximize tool output and efficiency.
• Execute continuous‑improvement and quality programs, fostering a 5S and safety mindset.
• Identify human‑error risks, develop CAPA actions, and strive for zero miss‑operations.
• Prepare and present daily production indices, highlighting priorities for the engineering team.
• Resolve line‑related preventive‑maintenance issues and work with engineering on capacity constraints.
• Engage support groups (IE, Engineering) to ensure accurate capacity modeling.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1‑2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong leadership, independence, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly motivated, resourceful, and effective communicator.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Additional advantage with PowerBI and automation skills.
