Patient Service Associate – Specialist Outpatient Clinics

About the role

The Patient Service Associate provides friendly, efficient customer service to patients and their families in specialist outpatient clinics. The role focuses on delivering excellent patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and supporting clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Register and screen patients accurately while protecting data privacy.
• Handle billing, collect payments on the same day, and ensure clinic readiness.
• Assist clinicians and therapists during consultations and coordinate follow‑up appointments.
• Manage patient wait times, keep patients informed, and clear the EPIC work queue daily.
• Escalate patient feedback to the Service Team Leader or Service Executive as needed.
• Promote the use of self‑service kiosks and the NUHS mobile application.
• Support other clinics when required and participate in quality‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum “N” level education with relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in a healthcare or service‑related environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
