Project Manager – Transformers

About the role

As a Project Manager within Hitachi Energy’s Transformers team, you will lead the delivery of complex transformer projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control project scope, schedule and cost in line with contract agreements.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and documentation, coordinating with internal teams and customers.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, managing expectations and ensuring contractual commitments are met.
• Identify project risks early, implement mitigation actions and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Arrange dispatch clearances, work with commercial, logistics, service and installation teams for timely delivery, testing and commissioning.
• Track daily productivity, cost to complete, and revenue, reporting trends to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all external and internal regulations, safety and integrity standards.
• Prepare project closure documentation, including as‑built drawings and final acceptance certificates.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale engineering projects, preferably in the power or energy sector.
• Strong ability to communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent risk‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, integrity and regulatory compliance.
