Software Engineer II – Google Pay & Wallet

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Google Pay and Wallet team. You will help design, develop, and maintain solutions that enable global business payment journeys, working across a full‑stack environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate features for Google Pay and Wallet services.
• Maintain and improve the end‑to‑end service lifecycle, including productionization, monitoring, alerting, and on‑call support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in the US, India, and Singapore, including Product, Trust, Safety, Risk, Marketing, Design, and Content.
• Align development work with the long‑term vision of Google Pay.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience working in a full‑stack development environment.
• Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and designing large‑scale applications.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
