Trainer – Learning & Development for Union Leaders

About the role

The Trainer will design, deliver and evaluate learning programmes for union leaders and staff, translating strategic priorities and workplace challenges into effective development interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage union leaders, NTUC entities and tripartite stakeholders to conduct training needs analysis and identify development priorities.
• Design, develop and review curricula and learning materials aligned with adult learning principles and WSQ/SkillsFuture frameworks.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars and leadership development programmes using learner‑centred, experiential methods.
• Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess learning effectiveness and ensure compliance with WSQ quality standards.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and advisory input on labour leadership development, industrial relations and related policy trends.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Law, Adult Education, Business or a related discipline.
• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or equivalent adult training qualification.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in industrial relations, union leadership, learning & development or adult education.
• Proven experience designing and facilitating training programmes for adult learners, especially senior practitioners.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders across unions, management and tripartite institutions.
