Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Singapore Finance team. The role offers exposure to accounts payable, receivable and general ledger functions while ensuring compliance with Singapore statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounts payable cycle, including three‑way matching, payment runs and statement reconciliation.
• Process intercompany billing and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Support month‑end activities: post journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assist with cash‑flow tracking and month‑end close.
• Provide cross‑functional support for accounts receivable, billing and overdue monitoring.
• Contribute to GST reporting, statutory audits and internal controls (including SOX where applicable).
• Identify and drive process improvements across the region.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of accounts payable experience; fresh graduates with strong academic record may be considered.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes.
• Familiarity with Singapore GST and statutory requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
