Accounting Manager

About the role

As an Accounting Manager you will join Gensler’s regional hub, reporting to the Regional Finance Director in Singapore. You will be responsible for finance operations across the Singapore, Bangkok and Sydney offices, partnering with Office Managing Directors, Studio Directors and Design Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting functions for Singapore, Bangkok and Sydney offices, including project accounting, accounts payable, general ledger, and month‑end close.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly and yearly performance comparative analysis for offices and studios.
• Manage Coupa approval flows to ensure accurate payment recording and appropriate expenditures.
• Monitor accounts receivable, support collection efforts and enforce billing, cash and expense deadlines.
• Prepare, analyse and own quarterly re‑forecasts in Anaplan, coordinating with related functions.
• Assist the Regional Finance Director with the annual budgeting process and regional finance meetings.
• Provide accounting guidance to office teams and mentor project accounting staff.
• Participate in project set‑up meetings for large or global projects and pilot new finance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 10 years of experience in a multinational environment.
• Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Experience in the built environment (architecture, interior design or engineering) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards; familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP is advantageous.
• Understanding of Singapore and Australian tax regulations (GST, income tax, deferred tax).
• Self‑motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and manage shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication skills across cultures and organisational levels.
