About the role

The Department of Architecture at the National University of Singapore seeks an Associate Professor (Practice Track) to lead urban design and planning studios. This senior academic position blends professional practice with teaching, shaping the next generation of designers and planners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead graduate and undergraduate studios in urban design and urban planning.
• Integrate professional experience into curriculum development and studio pedagogy.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in urban design, urban planning, or a related field by appointment.
• Minimum six years of sustained professional practice with a strong portfolio.
• Extensive studio teaching experience at the university level.
• Ability to work across scales—from building to regional contexts—and address environmental, social, and policy challenges.
• Demonstrated potential to become a leader in a specialised urban domain.
